I dunno why but those episodes are kind of my favorite. Backstory on a pokemon and its trainer, and lore about the pokemon universe. Fighting is nice and all, but learning about how the characters of this world live feels more precious.
I do love pokemon battle too, of course, but it's just one aspect of it, right ?~

Yeah, seeing how he and Francoise live their lives together was so nice and wholesome. It's really cool to see a side of Pokémon besides the catching and battling. Just seeing a guy living with his Pokémon and seeing how their friendship grew slowly like that makes the world of Pokémon feel more alive. Also, Magnemite was just so cute in this episode. That part where it magnetized itself to the pole and started swinging itself around was so adorable I couldn't stop myself from smiling

They even smoothly transitioned between flashback scenes and the present. Kudos for that TPC

I love Renji's and Françoise's relationship.

The parallels were well executed in this episode;
Past: Françoise running away in the snow.
Present: Françoise running after getting out of control.
Past: Renji finding Françoise in the snow.
Present: Renji finding Françoise among other magnemites.

I was looking for the Hyper-Ultra-Rare-Rare-Rarecoil evolution, but Françoise stays then it's ok.

I wonder if Magnezone line would get anything special since two "clones" exist with Klinklang line and Alolan Golem line.

Quite the cute episode tbh (that backstory though), but I'm surprised nobody mentioned Pikachu at the start yet. I kinda felt bad for the poor dude tbh.

Also, looks like we're not getting any serious plot progression episodes for a bit now, judging by the episode list. I just wanna see Ash battle the champions already dude. I don't MIND filler episodes, but when there's multiple upon multiple in a row... eh.

Hmmm... I want hyper evolution or something... Not this :/

I like the stories which have both present and past moments in one
So I loved this episode

I just realized that the anime came up with the idea of a Gigantamax Magnezone before GameFreak could. Wonder if they’re taking notes.

Also, I like the little detail that Renji’s Magnemite’s name could be written either as François or Françoise - a unisex name, fitting for a Pokémon which is genderless.

Anyway, looks like next episode will indeed have our favorite Kanto grass-type gym leader cameo. If Kyoko Hikami voices her again (likely, because she previously reprised her role in the I Choose You movie), she’ll be playing a character who last appeared in 1997

well, most of times things show up in other places before main games, like mega and primal evolutions, primal dialga was the first on the mystery dungeon series, but is yet to receive his primal form in the main games.

Francoise backstory :) It's nice to know its origins came from a cafe (would love to visit such a cafe someday)
I hope they don't waste Leafeon's appearance and collide it with Koharu and Eevee's fascination and exploration with Eeveelution next episode since it seems the focus of it is Heracross and Pinscir. Leafeon deserves its own episode and I'm hoping that appearance is just a small cameo.

Going by the preview really looking forward to see the first ever grass type Gym Leader.

Magneton is one of the Pokemon who was an early favorite of mine purely because of how awesome the artwork looked on the foil version of its first edition Pokemon TCG card, and I remember exactly when I pulled it from a pack (which I got at the Kentucky state fair in 1999... did I just age myself?)

I love these wholesome episodes man....

so if they both stayed in inside they would have been safe from all the comotion because it resolved itself also its been 93 episodes and we finally learn about reiji

The problem as stated was that the tinfoil couldn't block the signal completely and it would eventually get Francoise unless they moved out of the city and outside the range of the signal.

Kinda impressive with all those Magnemites around that it managed not to evolve at all. It must be really old-fashioned if no other Magnemites have the same tastes.

Also, Erika!!! I wonder what rank she is, or if she overslept and missed the entry deadline...
